Grip the Length Adjustment Lever and pull down while sliding the stock rearward. Once the locking pin is pulled down far enough, it will slide off the back of the buffer tube.

4. Interface Block

5. The SSAR-15® MOD

6. Final Check

Examine each portion of the installation and confirm everything functions properly. The SSAR-15® MOD can slide freely or be locked in place by operating the locking knob. For an extra secure shooting foundation, rotate the Friction Lock Lever to the up (locked) position. Length of pull may be modified by pressing the Length Adjustment Lever under the stock.

7. Convert Finger Rest

For bump fire, the finger rest should be on the opposite side of the firearm from your shooting hand. To remove the rest, pull outward on both sides of the while sliding it off the back of the pistol grip. The finger rest can now be flipped for ambidextrous use or removed and replaced with the blank for standard trigger pulls.

Buffer Tube Inspection: First verify that your rifle is equipped with a mil-spec buffer tube. Ensure the friction lock lever is in the down (unlocked) position. If the SSAR-15® MOD is not sliding freely on a mil-spec tube, the tube could be canted. Remove the SSAR-15® MOD, and loosen the castle nut just enough to allow the tube to rotate. After loosening the castle nut, re-install the SSAR-15® MOD which will force the tube to align properly. Verify the SSAR-15® MOD slides freely, and then re-tighten the castle nut.
